For the second year running, one of Jaime Permuth's photographs from the series "Before the Eclipse" has been selected as a Winner in American Illustration American Photography's Latin American Fotografia.

Earlier in the summer, Permuth had a solo exhibition of the full series "Before the Eclispe" in Antigua Guatemala's, Panza Verde Gallery. The exhibition featured large format prints from Cuba and Beijing. It was profiled widely in the media with features in Guatemala's largest dailies, Prensa Libre and El Periodico, as well as an interview on Telediario Canal 3 during the prime time evening news.

And, it doesn't stop there, Permuth also had work at the Griffin Museum in Boston as part of a stellar show juried by Elizabeth Avedon and curated by Paula Tognarelli, which was reviewed in the Boston Globe.
