Miserere Nostri (“Have mercy on us”) is a seven-part choral piece by the English Renaissance composer Thomas Tallis. By setting to sacred music appropriated “haul videos,” in which teens display gifts or purchases online, Alison Tyne presents contemporary consumerism as a new form of religion.
