In Vestige, Nam uses snapshots and scratched photographs to explore themes of loss, erasure, and absence. Inspired by the dementia suffered by her grandmother, the project functions as a visual diary of disappearance, using fabric prints, dirt, dramatic lighting, and the play of shadows to evoke the fleeting passage of memory in the face of mortality.
