Watching Me, Watching You
Emma Milligan investigates how new media and the Internet has affected misogyny and current gender inequality. Emma has pieced together a two-channel video from appropriated language and imagery mined from male dominated chat forums, which challenges notions of consent. As the viewer is watching her creation their image is live streamed to an iPad at another location of the gallery, further confounding the notion of permission and emphasizing the complicity of the viewer.
