Summer Night Chimera
With images both still and moving, as well as, found objects, Mijia presents an otherworldly environment that explores her childhood memories of summer nights in China. Through the re-contextualization of the object and stripping it of its function, we are able to access her version of time and space. The result is an immersive environment that calls into question our own versions of memory and longing for the past.
