Sara Arno

Sara's Galapagos

Sara Arno’s piece Sara’s Galapagos shares the wealth of a year’s vegetable harvest from her family’s farm in upstate New York.  This whimsically poignant personal essay is a declaration of love to her mother and her horticultural accomplishments.  Arno showcases her eccentric process of play in isolation with a variation of aerial drone shots juxtaposed with the intimacy of handheld visual diary entries. This experimental film embarks on a quest to redefine the potential of the multi-layered personal narrative as Arno reflects on her role as agriculturist, daughter, and artist.
